Colonel Walter Buttler's Dragoons

Poles and other easterners

Née Maksamyllyan Wulfram von Schleuter, Maks, as he is affectionately known by the troops, is the
Major, the highest ranking officer of the mercenaries.   His story follows the fortunes of war in these
tumultuous times, first as one of Colonel Walter Buttler's Dragoons

                 then later as a Kozak.

The Lady Zobiana, the Hauwieble of the mercenaries, has her fate intertwined with that of Maksamyllyan
Wulfram von Schleuter, from the less than idyllic life in the Dragoons,

to an equally difficult existence with the Kozaki.

Naumko Volchenets was a captured Ruthian strelets chieftain, given the option to join the ranks of Colonel
Walter Buttler’s Dragoons or die. In choosing the lesser of the two evils, Naumko joined the Dragoons where
his skills were quickly assessed as those of an Imperial Assassin, a position to which he heartily took to as
a second nature. (As his position would imply, you don't see him much unless you would happen to be his
next intended victim, which could help explain his long and unexplained absence).

Anjay Kmicic of Babanicz, Lithuania has a long and outstanding military career.  His first term of service
was as a Colonel of the Polish Lithuanian Commonwealth. Following the tides of war, Anjay allied himself
with the Kozaky, where he served with Major Maksamyllyan von Schleuter as his Tvarich.    A
soldier to the core of his being,  he eventually disengaged from the Kozaky, but still serves with the dragoons
because of his connection with the Major as his sword brother.  Our illustrious former Colonel states that his
likes include warm fuzzy puppies, preferably on a spit over the fire.  Dislikes include warm fuzzy puppies.
